We've moved from having a large tree that we go and cut ourselves to a small artificial tree. It certainly does not hold as many of my handmade ornaments but it does suit our current lifestyle - old folks who do not have a patience or energy to cut the tree, try to get it straight in the stand, put the lights on, etc. etc.
