Masthead Image

The counted cross-stitch image shown above is called Aunt Lucy's Place. It reminds my husband of  an old homestead where he spent many happy hours as a child. Designed by Linda Meyers and originally called Autumn at Sinking Creek, it now hangs in our dining room. View a larger image of Aunt Lucy's Place.

Meadowlark Cross Stitch

"A place worth reclaiming, where instead of engines and tires on concrete and someone else's music, you hear grasses and flowers rustling in the wind, and bird-song." ~ from Prairie Song ~

This Meadowlark is from Prairie Song by the Crossed Wing Collection. It was stitched on 28ct Jobelan with DMC floss then double matted and framed. I used one of my favorite frames that looks like old barn wood TW11 Town and Country from Graphic Dimensions (link will open in new window). The finished picture measures 23 1/2"x23 1/2" and hangs in our living room. I have also stitched the Lark Sparrow but it is not yet framed.
