The counted cross-stitch image shown above is called Aunt Lucy's Place. It reminds my husband of an old homestead where he spent many happy hours as a child. Designed by Linda Meyers and originally called Autumn at Sinking Creek, it now hangs in our dining room. View a larger image of Aunt Lucy's Place.
This piece was a Christmas present to one of our daughters and son-in-law. It was worked on ivory 14 count Aida, single matted and framed. The design was from Danish Cross-Stitch Zodiac Samplers: Charted Designs for the Astrological Year (Dover Needlework) by Jana Hauschild The main design was on pages 16-29. The butterflies are from pages 12-13.
