The counted cross-stitch image shown above is called Aunt Lucy's Place. It reminds my husband of an old homestead where he spent many happy hours as a child. Designed by Linda Meyers and originally called Autumn at Sinking Creek, it now hangs in our dining room. View a larger image of Aunt Lucy's Place.
The pattern for this wedding sampler appeared in May/June 1986 issue of Cross Stitch & Country Crafts
magazine. I stitched this as a gift for my son Frank and his wife. It was stitched on dirty linen
and the border uses 1/16" cream ribbon in the stitching. The finished size: app 10 1/2 x 14 1/2.
It was framed in a cordovan colored wood frame under glass.
