The counted cross-stitch image shown above is called Aunt Lucy's Place. It reminds my husband of an old homestead where he spent many happy hours as a child. Designed by Linda Meyers and originally called Autumn at Sinking Creek, it now hangs in our dining room. View a larger image of Aunt Lucy's Place.
This design is from Linda Myer's Art of Cross Stitch. The leaflet was "The Water's Edge - Canadian Geese. It was stitched on 14 count Aida, double matted and framed. It was a gift to my youngest son Michael. The picture does not do the piece justice. The colors are softer and brighter. The mat is gold with a dark red bottom mat.
