October's Harvest

October's Harvest is one of the designs from the book A Fine Collection which is now OOP. The photo below shows the piece stitched by Lisa Allison Powell using the called for fabric and floss.

The thread is not silk as written in the text. The brand is Wildflowers by Caron. The thread is tightly twisted. You stitch with the thread as it comes in the skein. Marigold is the correct color.  If you do use the silk floss Waterlillies by Caron you would need to use 2 strands of silk floss. Marigold would be the correct color of silk floss also.

Recommended Floss: 2 skeins of Marigold silk floss Wildflowers by Caron

14/28ct: 5 x 6 3/8 plus 3" on all sides = 11 x 12 3/8
16/32ct: 4 3/8 x 5 5/8 plus 3" on all sides = 10 3/8 x 11 5/8
18/36ct: 3 7/8 x 5 plus 3" on all sides = 9 7/8 x 11
20/40ct:  3 1/2 x 4 1/2 plus 3" on all sides = 9 1/2 x 10 1/2
